It is exciting to announce that Hyperion Robotics has been selected to participate in Katapult's 2021 Accelerator Program! Out of 2700 candidates worldwide, we are one out of 18 companies receiving investment from the Katapult Group this year.
Over the next three months we will take part in the the Accelerator powered by Lundin Foundation, to strengthen our skills in impact, strategy, management and investor readiness through a combination of video modules and hands-on workshops. Hyperion Robotics will also benefit from entering a network of international mentors, industry players and investors.
Hyperion is addressing a crucial PROBLEM and have a brilliant SOLUTION that will have a positive IMPACT on our Climate. 🌱
THE PROBLEM ❌
Even though the construction industry constitutes 10% of the world's GDP, it's the least automated industry sector. Furthermore, the industry’s most utilized material: concrete, contributes to 8% of all global CO2 emissions.
THE SOLUTION ✅
By developing 3D printing technology for reinforced structures with sustainable concrete, Hyperion Robotics is ushering in a new chapter within the construction industry. Their offering not only brings the much needed automation to the sector but offers a cheaper, faster and more sustainable process of construction.
THE IMPACT 🚀
The adoption of Hyperion Robotics by the construction industry, would mark a seismic shift within the sector. Both the high precision of their robotics systems and usage of circular materials, will move us closer to a low-carbon and zero-waste society. #SDG9 #SDG11 #SDG12 #SDG13
AND THE WHY?
Founder Fernando De los Rios, says, “The massive need for new construction and infrastructure projects around the world requires construction companies, developers and cities to re-think the way structures are built and what materials are used. At Hyperion, we believe that the sustainability and automation that come with our 3D printing technology and circular materials, are key aspects that will allow the least automated industry (construction) to become more efficient and significantly reduce the large carbon footprint from concrete production and the overall built environment." 👏
Katapult is an investment company, focused on highly scalable impact tech startups. They have 50 M USD under management and have invested in 138 companies from 35 countries.
